Top Knots

If you only wear one key beauty trend this Autumn, make it the bun. Practical, versatile and easy to do, the bun was the stand-out hair trend from the catwalk.

From a simple twist to a dramatic beehive, the bun fits in with next seasons mantra: anything goes. Pioneering this trend were New York’s designers – from simple, sophisticated up-dos at Donna Karan to daring waves at 3.1 Philip Lim.

Colour, texture, print: clash clash clash!

July. The month when the new season dawns on us. Trends, collections, new faces; we have to research and remember them all, whilst balancing the summer season which is still upon us.

However, this season it is made slightly easier by one fact: rules have been banished. Wild textures, clashing colours and crazy outfits have marched into the room, or the catwalk, and knocked down wearabilty and subtle on their way in.

Fashion ‘no’s’ have become fashion ‘musts’. Impracticality has replaced sensible. This season, anything goes.

Dare To Bare

If there was ever a time to brave a bikini, it is now. The catwalk was swarming with bikinis of all types, from simple bright colours to bold digital prints. Many different shapes were also to be seen, so make a purchase that flatters your body type and that you feel comfortable in.

Here is my pick of the best bikinis around, from the affordable to the not-so-affordable, and the wearable to the not-so-wearable!
